Hi DBAs,

Scenario:

--

Used the following sql statement on Informix 7.3 as well on Informix 9.3

(both on HP-UX 11.0 and 11i):

"Truncate only table <table-name>"

But Informix gives me syntax error: "201: A syntax error has occurred."

Want to know:

--

- The correct usage of truncate working for above IDS versions or is

there any limitation with truncate statements not working with Informix?

Informix doesn't have TRUNCATE (hmmmm - XPS engine might have it) but I

believe it's coming in the next version.
